About the role

Merapar is a European, Cloud based services business that provides innovative, complete solutions.

Currently, we are looking to expand our energetic and highly knowledgeable team in Gdańsk to deliver a genuine value to our clients.

As a Frontend Developer at Merapar you will build complex, secure and scalable cloud-based solutions, share knowledge and find new ways to solve problems together with your skilled and motivated team. You will work with new and exciting technologies on a daily basis and use steadfast, new hardware.

Do you often watch TV or streaming services? If so, then you probably used one of our solutions!

At Merapar, you will be a part of exciting projects for our clients - leaders in Broadcast, IoT and Automotive fields, creating high quality software for set top boxes, TV back office platforms and smart thermostats. You will work closely with our great clients, always having a close, hands-on contact with the technical side of Developer’s work.

Every now and then, you will travel to our headquarters in Veldhoven or to our colleagues from United Kingdom, to work side by side with them.

You will hit the ground running and think on your feet!


You will:

  • define and develop microservices and cloud-based systems.

  • work in Agile methodologies - we believe in Agile management and development principles, so you can count on us actively supporting one of the self-organising teams you’ll join.
  • cooperate with our colleagues from The Netherlands or United Kingdom.
  • write unit and integration tests - be responsible for maintaining a great code quality.
  • perform devops tasks - be responsible for delivering features to end users.

About You


  • you have a degree in Computer Science and at least 2 years of relevant work experience in this area.

  • you bring a solid experience with Java.
  • you have some experience with and/ or knowledge about AWS platform.
  • you are able to solve challenges using the best practices around, like TDD/BDD, SOLID and design patterns.
  • speak English on at least a B2 level of proficiency.


Additional bonus points for:

  • a lot of cloud experience,

  • being a pro using Kubernetes and Docker,
  • wanting to share your knowledge with your colleagues and on the events organised by us, f.ex. during meet-ups.
